SITE was my place of employment from 2016 - 2023, so there is an endless amount of projects and work to showcase from my time there. I have curated a few of the items that I loved being a part of.
Over the course of 7 years of employment, I covered a LOT of ground working at SITE. From coaching on the trampolines, head coaching, writing programmes, teacher trainings, design & marketing, web development, management, HR & more. Learning and operating a single business inside and out has helped me to devlop invaluable skills across leadership, management, and design thinking that I take into all of current projects.
In 2021 9 years after SITE first opening it's doors, we set out to open a second location right in the middle of COVID craziness. The owner and I co-managed the process doing everything in house from design to execution, business systems, and everything inbetween. There is not enough space on a page to cover all of the work I did at SITE, but, below you will see a few examples of design work I created for SITE Trampoline.
With the small admin team at SITE, I was responsible for the full design, build, site mapping, content planning and creation, and about half of the photography for the websites.
On top of the mirrored sites for both locations there is also a staff training site built onto the same network.
The sites are build to have intuitive user flows for the massive range of demographics that use SITE's facilities.
Inspiration for guests while they are in the facility. A big part of the SITE branding is about fitting into the 'magician' and 'sage' brand architypes. These posters are meant to show guests that there are high end athletes that train in the same location as them, and there are staff and programs around to help them reach their goals.
Through the years SITE has always depended on the community and notice boards to spread the word about events. The following is a collection of posters I created for SITE over the years.
Self funding the second location meant shoestring budgets and next to nothing left for marketing budget when we opened our second location. This meant lots of feet on the ground and networking to build word of mouth.
We did however print rack cards and posters to spread through town.
Growing beyond one location, SITE needed lots of tools and frameworks to ensure consistency in experience between locations, and clarity for staff in their roles, as well as understanding the roles of those working alongside them.
This serves as something in the staff room that is an easy reminder of what the goal is.
A one-and-a-half-year project while navigating the complexities of operating a physical business through COVID. There was no shortage of challenges, but also no shortage of excitement and great opportunity and experience.
Some design related elements that were very fun
- air bag topsheet design
- wall painting and logo placement
- coordinating mat colors, spring floor colors, and wall and concrete finishes
- floor plan and architecture of space
- marketing material to get the word out
